Footprints in the sand

This was a poem God had reminded me this past few days, during Cell Group and Service. I never had much feelings or wadsoever towards this poem actually, but jus during this week, where the topic of Bitterness in our heart was mentioned, this particular poem jus came to me naturally. I believed this is wad God has wanted to speak to me.

One night I dreamed a dream.
I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one belonging to me and one to my Lord.

When the last scene of my life shot before me I looked back at the footprints in the sand. There was only one set of footprints. I realized that this was at the lowest and saddest times of my life. This always bothered me and I questioned the Lord about my dilemma.

"Lord, You told me when I decided to follow You, You would walk and talk with me all the way. But I'm aware that during the most troublesome times of my life there is only one set of footprints. I just don't understand why, when I need You most, You leave me."

He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you, never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you."

Service was reali reali good. Pst Mike talked about the Disappointments in our Life. Sometimes i feel, as "old" christians, many of us tend to know what to do, what to expect, wad to sae as "Christians". But, in this week service, I had such a different view. I did not reali wan to face with the bitterness in my life even as Pst Mike told us that we have to remember the hurts and face them. Admit that these hurts does hurt u. And at the moment that Pst Mike told us to stood up to worship God, i put my bag away and stood up as instructed. Immediately, the presence of God jus came and I started to wept uncontrollably. After which i realise, God does things unexpectedly and caught us unaware. All is not within our control. lol.
